Polybius

A new/old song from Filler days (2009). It’s about the urban legend of Polybius, an arcade machine the U.S. government used to brainwash unsuspecting gamers. Enjoy!

Prepare…for Filler!

The latest album by Projekt, Filler, is an ode to the different genres of the 90s. Incorporating styles associated with doom metal, death metal and progressive rock, it also draws upon rap, punk, electronica, dance rock, and grunge.

Filler can now be heard on SoundCloud (http://soundcloud.com/the-cassini-projekt/sets/filler-c-2012) and Grooveshark (http://grooveshark.com/#!/album/Filler/7525942) and will be available for free download in March. A promotional video for “Citadel of Sorrow”, a track from Filler, can be viewed at http://youtu.be/wL5A88cuxwY.

Lyrically fixated with world war, the psychology of imperialists, the apocalypse, alienation from the universe and political corruption, this album is not for the timid though there are moments of relief from the sense of doom which pervades throughout. Metallica’s And Justice For All was a significant influence on the more politically slanted songs, which provide a relentlessly sustained and ferocious attack on political and financial elites. Lyrical abstraction also plays a part with references to the Monty Hall Paradox, the nature of consciousness, universal axioms and human evolution. Ultimately the album seeks to convey an overall message which is at once despairing yet thoroughly enraged, aware of the futility of one’s situation yet charged with the energy of furious defiance. Forged from the furnace of agitated creation and crafted into searing fusion of disparate musical styles and lyrical themes, Filler is intended as a piece which questions and subverts the culture and world around it.
